Fall Registration Opens May 22nd
Pre-Kindergarten Division
Our Pre-K Division consists of skills sessions designed to introduce soccer in a fun and educational way. Sessions will begin on September 7 and continue for 6 weeks. We will not have skill sessions on October 12 because of Fall Break. Our last scheduled session is October 23rd. There are no volunteer coaches in this division. Kickers has 4 paid staff who facilitate meaningful drills and small-sided scrimmages. Pre-K players MUST be 4 years old by August 1. No exceptions! All players receive a Kickers SAY Soccer t-shirt and a soccer ball. All sessions are held at the Golfmoor fields near Helfrich Park STEM Academy on Sunday afternoon/ evening. We will have two session: one will start at 4:00 and the second will start at 5:15. Each will run for 1 hour. You will be assigned a session time but it can be changed if necessary. Shin pads are required (these are available at Wal-Mart, Dick's, Academy, and Target). Cleats are not required.

All sessions are held at the Golfmoor fields near Helfrich Park STEM Academy. We do volunteer coaches, and coaches will determine practice times and locations. 1st grade through Middle School Divisions
All divisions will play 10 games and typically practice 1-2 times each week with the time/ day of week determined by the coach. Most weeks each team will have one game, but there are weeks with two. All players will be placed on teams based on their school of attendance and will be balanced by skill level. Games will be played on Saturdays as well as Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most games will be played at the Helfrich complex located next door to Helfrich Park STEM Academy on the westside of Evansville. Most teams utilize our practice fields at Daniel Wertz Elementary School, but coaches may select other locations for practices. All players received a t-shirt and socks.
Games will begin August 16. You should hear from a coach by the first week of August. We have a 10-game season for all divisions. The season ends before the start of Fall Festival (October 4). Shin pads are required (these are available at Wal-Mart, Dick's, Academy, and Target). Cleats are recommended but not required. We do take teammate requests for carpooling purposes ONLY. Every year, almost half of our registrants make a request. We respectfully ask that you only do this IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. This is a great chance for your kids to make new friends. It is difficult for us to understand which requests are based on actual need when we receive so many. We hope to accommodate as many requests as possible but the large volume has made this difficult for our selection team.
All of our teams are coached by volunteers. We encourage you to volunteer! Experience is not required-- just a passion for working with kids! If you have any questions about coaching, feel free to reach out to Tom Walling at 812-781-9647. He can help you understand the responsibilities of coaching as well as the resources Kickers has available for coaching assistance.
